Usamah Majmal.
I studied Economics at Goldsmiths, University of London, and have worked in UK accountancy for four years. Through my practice, TaxationMadeSimple, I help self-employed people and small company owners with tax returns, accounts and planning.

Money, muscle, mindset.
After a serious accident and a period of real mental strain, training became how I rebuilt myself. FitInFinance brings those lessons together.
Most people don’t get tax wrong because they’re careless. They get it wrong because nobody explained it simply. The habits that build strength in the gym, showing up and tracking progress, are the ones that keep your finances in order.

This website: the free tax guide, the toolkit, articles and the newsletter. General information, not advice.

Tax returns, accounts and planning for the self-employed and small companies, under a written engagement letter. Enquire.
How the numbers are checked.
- Primary sources
Rates, thresholds and deadlines are checked against GOV.UK, HMRC manuals and, for Scotland, gov.scot. Each page shows the date it was checked and links its sources.
- Worked examples
Examples are simplified illustrations with their assumptions shown beside them. They are not a calculation of your liability.
- Tools match the guide
The toolkit reproduces the guide’s worked examples to the pound.
- Updates
Rates change every April. Each page shows when its figures were last checked, so you can see how current it is.
- Not advice
Nothing on this site is personal tax, legal or financial advice. Reading it doesn’t make you a client; professional work needs a separate written agreement.
